Beekeeping 101

We are opening up our home for students and adults to come and join us for a 90 minute Beekeeping 101 class. This is offered as an educational resource primarily to students in our area. Ages 6 and up.  

We will cover 2 different aspects of beekeeping:

  • The life of the honeybee

  • The yummy ooey gooey stuff we know as honey

The 90 minute class will include observing live bees (in a fully sealed observation hive), learning all about bees and beekeeping, and finding out lots of amazing things about honey.

Each participant will take home a small 8oz honey bear and every class ends with a tasting of all the varieties of honey we offer. Classes are held to a max of 20 people and the cost breakdown is $25 per student, $15 per additional sibling, $25 for non-chaperoneing adult and $10 per chaperoning adult(students are required to have a chaperone in attendance that is responsible for them) Please no children under the age of 6.

Payment in full is required when reserving a spot in the class because of high demand and limited space this is non-refundable.

Parents need to stay or have a chaperone responsible for a group of kids. The adults staying must register.

Chaperoning adults only pay $10 but will not receive a honey bear.

The first child is $25 and any subsequent siblings are $15.
